Good News for Women in Web Business..

If you've found building a Web business difficult.  It's not exactly your fault.  Virtually every aspect of the computer was designed through the eyes of a geeky male computer nerd.  Think of a young Bill Gates in a garage throwing a party where the main source of fun is program coding.

Whether it's the operating system, web design, graphic design, programming or Domain Name Servers.  Its logic was set up through a male brain.

On average, your start-up will likely be a bit tougher than your male counterparts.  However, if you can push past the initial technical stage, your communication and organization skills now put YOU in the advantage.

The hill looks ugly on the climb up, but it's pretty on the other side,.. I promise.

Beautiful Way to Run a Web Business.(follow up)

About six months ago I did a post about Scott Schuman and his popular fashion blog The Sartorialist.  He's the guy who takes photo's of people he finds fashionable in some way, just by walking around New York, Paris, Milan or where ever he is in the world.  His photo's are elegant ..and beautiful.

I had wondered how he approached people on the street to take their photo without coming off strange..  And now I know!  Here is a great video of how he uses his unique compelling passion to create something brilliant.  Since his blog is under his own control he can do whatever he likes creatively and then use it as a lead-in to attract clients for his photography services.

 

I'm not sure what it is about him, ..his photo's, ..or the way he runs his blog.  But it makes me feel calm, centered and inspired.  Maybe that's what we're all looking to find somewhere.

Most of you know I have an interest in the fashion business, and in particular, fashion marketing.  I had the chance to attend Orlando Fashion Week last September.  It's in it's fifth year and was impeccably produced by the organizer.  It was hosted by ENews! Anchor Gulliana Ranic which I had the great opportunity to talk with briefly about fashion and snap this photo.  She was a true delight in person.  Smart, professional, charming ..married.. dang-it!

 

My New Web Business Book!

So I've been putting together my next book and I've come up with this for the title..

Web Guru: A Faster, Easier Way to Start Your Business

I like it, but I'm not sure if "Web Guru" is the right phrase.  So I thought I'd ask you if you like it and also if you had any title suggestions of your own. 

I've pasted my first-draft of the Introduction below so you can see where the book is going.  Also, if I use your title suggestion I'll give you something awesome!  I don't know what yet, but I promise you won't be mad.

Intro..

"This book is meant to be a lightning fast read.  The goal is to get you building a successful Web business or improving an existing one as fast as possible. 

It’s for entrepreneurs or aspiring entrepreneurs.  It's about building a successful Web company with your unique compelling passion:  it’s about starting something brilliant; it’s about sharing it with others and creating a valuable asset you own along the way.

The book stems from my fifteen-years in the business; I’ve built a string of successful, highly profitable Web businesses.  I provide a unique perspective because it’s always been me who does the web design, graphic design, database coding, comes up with the products, develops the marketing campaigns and makes adjustments along the way in the process of building a Web businesses that has a lasting impact and creates wealth. 

It’s important that you’re hearing these techniques first-hand.  Don’t worry, you don’t need all these skills yourself, as a matter of fact, you’ll probably only need one or two.  I can show you the best ways to accomplish everything you need to start and build your own web business that makes money.
