Every web business I've built has been much harder to make successful than I anticipated. I guess that's not surprising, but every time I start out, I think I have this killer idea and there's NO way it's not going to be a huge success right off the bat... it never is.
What I'm saying is; if you believe in what you're doing and it's not looking good right now, keep working, keep trying to make it a little better every week. It's very normal for it to look like a complete disaster most of the way through the start-up phase.
